Please join us in congratulating Peter Brimm the latest winner of the Presidents Award.

Peter is the epitome of a classmate who does not have to be President of this, or co-chair of that, to still make an enormous impact on our lives. He is the first person to offer tutoring for classes, to cook you a meal during exams, to pick you up from the airport or just listen to you whine about your life. He is also an I Have a Dream volunteer, a huge supporter of C4C events, an Alumni Thank-a-Thon volunteer and a regular at every school function.

He truly makes a difference in students’ personal lives and also in the atmosphere of the school. In our classmates own words:

“Peter Brimm is the kind of person we all wish we could be. I am not sure when he sleeps between his multiple roles as IHAD mentor, tutor, C4C volunteer, designated driver and confidante to half of our class. Without blinking an eye Peter would pick you up at the airport at 1 am or wake up at 6 am to help you with a problem set for a class he is not even taking. Without Peter's sense of humor and his devotion to his classmates, my time at the GSB would not have been the same!”--GSB woman who wishes to remain anonymous (Peter you’ll have to pay for her name!)

“One of the qualities I admire most about Brimm is his selflessness. Last spring break, when the rest of us were partying in Kauai, Brimm was helping his brother landscape his house. This is typical Brimm--always thinking of others first. On campus he donates his time equally freely--helping folks move in at the beginning of the school year, tutoring, and helping out with C4C and iHad for example. This selflessness is a quality that makes Brimm a great person and the GSB a great place to be.”--Adam Wegel

"Peter Brimm is the most selfless person I know. He is always willing to lend a hand or listen to a friend. I think it's easy to be cynical in this world, which is why I think people have a hard time believing how truly generous Peter is, for he has never asked anyone for a favor in return for the many times he has helped others. Peter is a loyal friend and role model--he has a profound view of the world that I hope to be able to realize someday. (He makes great pancakes too.)"--Kathy Nicholson

Peter, you are a valued friend to our community whether you are shirtless, in a Hawaiian print shirt or in that God-awful tie from your Facebook picture. Thank you for coming to the GSB--you make it a better place for all of us.

We would also like to thank all the people who nominated Peter. Please continue to let us know who makes a difference in your life.
